“23 Consult Ltd project-managed the major refurbishment of one of the Council’s largest community halls in 2018/19. This involved: developing the procurement strategy for the project, coordination of the specification/design and technical standards/pricing schedules for the works, managing the contract award process and overseeing onsite delivery (CDM regulation). Their personal involvement in the project added greatly to the project, for example, by value engineering through the tendering process to control costs/ensure quality, contributing imaginative, but practical, design solutions in response to technical issues that arose during the delivery stage, and tracking (and, where necessary, challenging) delivery costs/contractor submissions. The project had a complex delivery structure, involving M&E consultants, architects, principal contractor/contractor and client, and its success was in part due to 23 Consult Ltd effective management of different stakeholders' interests and priorities. The halls were finished to a very high standard and is now recognised as one of the Council's flagship community hubs.
